Leo energy is about self -expression, courage, and power. Leo can be creative, romantic, generous, powerful, frank and loves performing. Leo energy can be extravagant, overbearing, proud and even vain. Leo, ruled by the Sun, represents self-consciousness. In esoteric astrology Leo can be the beginning of spiritual consciousness.
In esoteric astrology, the full moon is when solar energy is strongest, channelling uninterrupted energy through the moon and reflecting it back to Earth tenfold. In effect the Moon will be reflecting the Sun in Aquarius energies thus assisting in the evolutionary process for humanity. The Full Moon may amplify these humanitarian issues at this time. The Sun is in Aquarius is from Jan 20th – Feb 18th, 2025. Since the new Moon in Aquarius on the 29th of January we may have become more aware of social issues, personal freedom, friendly yet detached and motivated by the intellect which culminates or illuminates at this Full Moon.
These streams of energy are now making it easier for us to attain higher vibrational frequencies and so enters areas of consciousness which were previously not known to Earth-Man. This Energy is now coming in thick and fast with planets moving out of Water into Fire and Earth into Air. If January felt like a couple of months duration, wait until Saturn and Pisces move out of Pisces into Aries and then Uranus moves out of Taurus into Gemini. We already have Pluto in Aquarius since November 2024 and this is really shaking and transforming the status quo globally in politics, science, technology and even space travel. This year will be fast with endings and beginnings in the big major planets – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. 2025 looks likes momentous changes personally and globally and into 2026 as well.
On the 12th/13th Feb the Sun in Aquarius will be opposite the Moon in Leo. Oppositions indicate two opposing forces be they people or events and this can bring in a push/pull energy which can be co-operating together or pulling apart. At this illuminating full moon in Leo the Sun and mercury conjunction will be opposite the moon which can high light a conflict through emotions and no time for effective communication. Normally a Sun and Mercury conjunction would have a harmonizing and communicating element to this time but not so much with an opposition to the moon in Leo. Emotions can be dramatic, leading people to want to share their stories or opinions.
With Uranus in Taurus also squaring this full moon and Sun/Mercury conjunction, expect the unexpected from the ruler of Aquarius. This great Awakener – Uranus is like a wild card and super electric like lightning. Uranus square moon creates tension or internal conflict, learning lessons and obstacles. Uranus square to the Sun can be overly reactive with excitement or more lessons as well. There is a culmination at this full moon, and it could be information that shakes or rocks what we thought was true, or the latest information becomes known or released to the public.
Mercury and Uranus in a square at this time could disrupt communication, and something I have recently witnessed communication technology and mental health. Mental tension could be on the rise about radical and unconventional ideas that may or may not be in resonance with you. Be discerning, avoid judgement and acceptance is key with this line up as it seems like a radical time with this Aquarius and Uranus energy combination.
On a lighter note, the Moon in Leo will make a nice trine to Chiron in Aries which is a nice ease flow energy, so healing like colour, sound or vibrations could be nice. A nice healing massage or energetic healing might just be what the body needs to calm the nerves at this time. Futuristic Medicine will be frequency based.
